Violence as expression of social vulnerability
An analysis of women with disabilities

The aim of this article is to find out the consequences of the complex combination of being a woman and suffering from some kind of disability and, at the same time, to find out the degree of violence suffered by women.
To measure this phenomenon, the following 3 scales have been used, each of which measures a type of violence: AAS-D (Abuse Assesment Screeen Disability) by MacFarlane, Hughes, Nosek, Groff, Swedlend and Dolen Mullen (2001); WAST (Woman Abuse Screening Tool) byFogarty and Brown (1996-2002) and ASSSP (Abuse Question Safer and Stronger Person) by Curre, Renker, Hughes, Robinson-Whelen, Oschwald, Swank and Powers (2009). Fieldwork was conducted during the months of June and July 2022.
The results highlight that reduced mobility doubles the likelihood of experiencing humiliation. Likewise, reduced vision almost doubles the probability of suffering this type of abuse, while psychosocial deficit increases it by 1.5 times, psychosocial diversity increases the probability by 1.7 times, and having a grade 5 disability doubles the probability of experiencing some type of violence.
In conclusion, it is necessary to continue to deepen studies that continue to make contributions to the analysis of these issues, which are of paramount importance in today's society.
