This research aims to model the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and gamification in the development of culture during the learning of English as a foreign language in rural contexts. Through an integrative literature review, recent studies addressing the use of digital tools and playful strategies in language teaching were analyzed, with a special focus on cultural identity and inclusion. The results show that both ICT and gamification are valuable resources for energizing learning, fostering motivation, and facilitating access to authentic materials. However, their real impact largely depends on technological availability, teacher training, and coherent integration with local culture. Incorporating cultural elements into English language teaching strengthens students' sense of identity and respect for diversity, transforming the classroom into a more meaningful and contextually relevant space for rural students. The study concludes that there is great potential for designing pedagogical proposals that integrate technology, play, and culture in an inclusive and contextualized way. It recommends moving towards the creation of sustainable and situated pedagogical models, accompanied by field research and ongoing teacher training, in order to close gaps and ensure a more equitable and transformative education.
