Potenciando el pensamiento creativo del estudiante: un nuevo enfoque basado en la inteligencia artificial generativa y su impacto en el rendimiento académico

En el mundo laboral, la habilidad del pensamiento creativo es esencial para los empleadores, ya que permite buscar resolución a problemas complejos, innovar y crear nuevas ideas. Esta investigación examina el rol de las herramientas de IA generativa como un factor multidimensional que replantea los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje en la educación superior. A través de un estudio descriptivo correlacional aplicado a una muestra de 2,424 estudiantes, se determinó que la mayoría de estudiantes considera que el uso de estas herramientas de IA desarrolla el pensamiento creativo, aunque este impacto varía en función del campo de conocimiento profesional (facultad). Así también, la investigación revela una asociación positiva entre el uso de herramientas de IA, el desarrollo del pensamiento creativo y la mejora del rendimiento académico. Una contribución significativa de este estudio es la evidencia empírica de que el pensamiento creativo, potenciado por las herramientas de IA, actúa como una variable relevante para el éxito académico de los estudiantes. Finalmente, la investigación establece una novedosa taxonomía funcional de las herramientas de IA, basada en la fuerza de asociación del desarrollo del pensamiento creativo y la mejora del rendimiento académico:1) Impacto Muy Fuerte: herramientas de IA la creación artística y visual que permiten plasmar conceptos abstractos; 2)Impacto Fuerte: herramientas de IA de programación, música y aprendizaje de idiomas, que sirven de nexo entre la idea y la ejecución técnica;3)Impacto Moderado-Fuerte: herramientas de IA orientadas a la organización, gestión y síntesis de la información académica.
