El caso de la plataforma de peticiones CitizenGo

Resumen

El siguiente artículo explora la actividad desarrollada por la plataforma de peticiones en línea CitizenGo durante la primera ola de la pandemia de COVID-19 en España. Esta plataforma digital se creó para “defender y promover, de una forma útil y efectiva, la vida, la familia y la libertad” mediante la realización de peticiones y acciones en la red. A través del análisis de 19 campañas desplegadas por esta organización durante la vigencia del estado de alarma (entre los meses de marzo y junio de 2020) se identifican los discursos de la entidad, así como las estrategias y recursos empleados en la red. El objetivo final es identificar los rasgos de las campañas, así como las configuraciones narrativas de esta asociación y determinar el patrón en la elaboración y difusión de las narrativas ultraconservadoras en internet. Como conclusión podemos extraer como la pandemia del coronavirus supuso una oportunidad discursiva para que CitizenGo difundiese su agenda por medio estrategias de polarización y narrativas conflictivas y antagónicas de la realidad social.
