In a globalized and dynamic world, it is necessary to develop high levels of scientific literacy starting at university. The objective of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the educational workshop for the development of research skills in Administration students at the National University of Central Peru (UNCP), Tarma branch. A study was carried out with a quantitative approach, applied type, explanatory scope and pre-experimental design. The study population was 170 students from the Professional School of Business Administration enrolled in the 2024 I academic period and an intentional non-probabilistic sample of 30 third cycle students. The checklist and the pedagogical evaluation were applied as instruments, validated by expert criteria with a CVC of .960 and KR-20 reliability of .807. The results indicate the existence of a significant difference (p-value <.001) between the investigative competencies found in the pretest and posttest applied. It is concluded that the educational workshop is effective for the development of research skills in Administration students at the UNCP, Tarma.
