Communication at universities takes place in a complex context, with different levels and flows of information, where students are among the main audiences for university reputation. The main objective of this research is to analyze students' perceptions and assessments of the communication established by universities through their digital channels. This study adopts a quantitative descriptive approach, using surveys as a data collection technique. The results of this research show that students perceive direct institutional channels, such as email and the virtual campus, more positively and use them more frequently than the university's social networks. Digital channels contribute to improving communication within the university community and are an effective means of projecting the organization's identity and communicating its initiatives and activities. These platforms promote creative thinking, with aligned content that increases a climate of trust and, consequently, reinforces the university's reputation.
