El fenómeno de las donaciones en plataformas de streaming

Percepción del gasto digital en jóvenes universitarios

Resumo

La expansión de la "Donación digital" ha reconfigurado el consumo mediático contemporáneo, integrando sistemas de micro transacciones que permiten monetizar la interacción social en tiempo real. En este escenario, las plataformas de streaming han normalizado el desembolso económico, lo que plantea nuevas interrogantes sobre cómo los nativos digitales procesan psicológicamente este gasto desmaterializado. El objetivo principal de esta investigación fue determinar la relación entre las donaciones en streaming y la percepción del gasto digital en estudiantes universitarios de Lima. Metodológicamente, se aplicó un enfoque cuantitativo bajo un diseño correlacional no experimental. La muestra estuvo conformada por 202 estudiantes seleccionados mediante un muestreo por juicio debido a su perfil de usuario experto, quienes fueron evaluados con un instrumento que reportó una alta consistencia interna (0.929). El procesamiento estadístico, realizado mediante el coeficiente Rho de Spearman, reveló una correlación positiva de magnitud muy fuerte (.866; p_ .000). Este hallazgo indica que la conducta de donación explica gran parte de la varianza en la cognición financiera del estudiante. Lejos de actuar impulsivamente, el estudio demuestra que el usuario experto utiliza el dinero virtual como una inversión deliberada para obtener estatus y visibilidad dentro de la comunidad. Se concluye que, a mayor inmersión en la plataforma, mayor es la madurez cognitiva para gestionar el presupuesto, desafiando la noción tradicional de que la virtualidad anula la consciencia del valor del dinero.
